Who You'd Be Today
By: Kenny Chesney
CD: The Road & The Radio

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
Wear the pain like a heavy coat
I feel you everywhere I go
See your smile, I see your face
I hear you laughing in the rain
Still can't believe your gone

(Chorus:)
It ain't fair you died to young
Like a story that had just begun
But death tore the pages all away
God knows how I miss you
All the hell that I've been through
Just knowing, no one could take your place
Sometimes I wonder, who you'd be today

Would you see the world
Would you chase your dreams
Settle down with a family
I wonder what would you name your babies
Someday's the sky's so blue
I feel like I can talk to you
And I know it might sound crazy

(Chorus)

Today [3x]
Today [3x]

Sunny days seem to hurt the most
I wear the pain like a heavy coat
The only thing that gives me hope
Is I know, I'll see you again someday

Someday, someday

His legacy
What an active little boy!
Dakoda was a VERY active little boy. He started walking at 9 months, and didn't stop since then. He was forever getting into something or doing something mischevious. He would look at you and say "Uh-oh, I saw-we (sorry)" Who could yell at a face like his? While mommy got a day time job, Dakoda went to daycare. What 18 month old gets kicked out of daycare?!?!? That's right.... DAKODA! He just had his own additude and his own way of doing things. (obviously the teachers didn't appreciate it) We put him in the SAME daycare 3 years later, where he got kicked out AGAIN, because he wanted to have FUN. Dakdoa got in trouble, and the teachers put him in a seperate room, in a time out (which is a BIG "NO-NO"), well, little Mr. Dakdoa took it upon himself to take ALL the teachers purses and dump them into one nice & neat little pile on the floor. (I guess they won't put any more kids in a room by themselves). Before we had a chance to take Dakoda out of daycare, they kicked him out, AGAIN. That's ok, because I loved spending EVERYday with Dakoda & his brother.
Mommy's Boy

Dakoda, Dakoda, Dakoda......
Where to start.... Dakoda was his mommy's world. He LOVED to run around outside, barefooted. He enjoyed playing in the sandbox, riding his bike, teaching his little brother, Kaleb how to ride the power-wheel. He was a VERY curious little boy.
Dakoda was also an extremely smart little boy. How many kids, that just turned 4 can name all 52 (plus Alaska and Hawaii) United States and capitals? Dakoda could!! His favorite was Mississippi, all day long we would hear Mississippi, Mississippi, look mommy, Mississippi! He also would press North and South Dakota and say "Mommy it said my name."
Our favorite saying to Dakoda is "I love you more then ALL the bugs in the world!"

Love you Dakoda.... Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, FOREVER!!!
